The State of Hunger in Armenia

The South Caucasus region (Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan) is vulnerable due to political instability, climate change, and social inequalities. The region also faces fallout from the war in Ukraine and the 2023 conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, which displaced over 100,000 people to Armenia.

How We're Helping in Armenia

Action Against Hunger runs food security, mental health, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs across the South Caucasus region. We put localization at the core of our work, with a key focus on strengthening local partners’ capacity. In Armenia, we continue to respond to the urgent needs of refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh through community support projects, including social inclusion initiatives and cash and voucher assistance.
