At least eight million people in France are food insecure. The national response has been limited to emergency aid, failing to address structural causes. Furthermore, the mobilization and coordination of public policies remain insufficient to guarantee the right to food for all.
In France, Action Against Hunger works towards ensuring dignified access to sufficient, healthy, and sustainable food for all. We are a key player in the fight against food insecurity, playing a central role in multi-stakeholder forums and advocacy campaigns, while improving the effectiveness of aid delivery by sharing our expertise. We have implemented several pilot projects to provide direct assistance to thousands of people while stimulating public debate through innovative approaches like multi-purpose cash transfers and social markets.
